Career Area of the Week:
How about a PHOTOGRAPHER? PHOTOGRAPHERS use cameras and film, or digital cameras and computers, to portray people, place and events. They try to capture the feeling or mood that sells products, highlights news stories and brings back memories. Employers look for PHOTOGRAPHERS with imagination and creativity and technical understanding of photography. Entry level positions in photojournalism or scientific photography may need a college degree in journalism or photography. A good portfolio is essential for freelance photographers.
REMINDER: There will be no school on Monday, September 7th, due to the Labor Day Holiday and Tuesday, September 8th due to a District Inservice.

Braindrop for the day:
A hypotenuse is the longest side of a right triangle, the side opposite the right angle. The length of the hypotenuse can be found using the Pythagorean Theorem, which states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides.
