Career Area of the Week:
How about a BAKER? BAKERS bake bread, rolls, cakes, pies, cookies and various other items. They measure flour, sugar, shortening and various other ingredients and mix them in large mixing machine bowls according to recipes. Some BAKERS may lean the trade through apprenticeship programs, usually in craft bakeries. Many apprentice bakers participate in correspondence study and may work towards a certificate in baking.

Congratulations to the Pleasant Valley Chess Team for winning 1st place at the Topeka Collegiate chess tournament last Saturday. All five players (Marleah Mullen, Cameron VanBaal, Dominic Stout-Simmons, Hanah Huber and Katie Bergman) placed in the top twenty. This is the 6th trophy PV chess has brought home this year!

Come and support our basketball teams as they take on Brooks Middle School today! The cost is only $1. You will need your id and not be on the D/F list. Hope to see you there.
