Career Area of the Week:
How about a FLIGHT ATTENDANT? FLIGHT ATTENDANTS make sure that safety regulations are abided by and try to make flights as comfortable as possible for passengers. They make sure that first aid kits and other emergency equipment are abroad and in working order. They make sure they have food, pillows and blankets. Employers prefer to hire FLIGHT ATTENDANTS who have several years of college or experience in dealing with the public. Increasingly, new flight attendant hire are college graduates.

Attention 8th graders: North High will be having varsity and co-ed squad cheerleading tryouts May 1st at 10:30. The required clinics will be April 28 thru April 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information, please check out the flyer on the office door.
Attention Circle of Friends members: There will be a Circle of Friends movie on Friday beginning at 1:00 in room E10.
Our annual Faculty vs. PVMS Basketball teams (girls and boys) is coming up on March 11th. The cost is only $1 and will be paid to your 8th hour teacher. There will be NO D/F list- everyone is invited. Don’t miss out on the fun!
This is the last week for the Pennies for Patients. Make sure and drop your change in your mentoring teachers’ box. Remember the class who raises the most money will receive lunch from the Olive Garden
Be on the look-out for Fuel Up to Play 60 advisory team members. They will be approaching students in the halls and if the student can correctly answer question about Fuel Up to Play 60, they will receive a prize. Team members will also be out at lunch to give those who wish to participate, walking club forms, which can be used to help keep track of your physical activity. Due to the Fuel Up to Play grant, PVMS will be receiving three tether-ball units in the play area in the near future. Don’t forget to sun in and track your progress on line to be eligible for the Wii and the computer notebook to be given away.
STUCO will sponsor a Saturday movie matinee this Saturday. The movie will begin at 10:00. This week’s movie is G-Force. The movie is open to all students and their families.
Boys and girls track will begin the day after returning from spring break. Any 7th or 8th grade student may be on the track team. If you would like to sign up, make sure you have a physical on file with the office. Boys need to leave their name with Mr. Arvidson in A14 and the girls need to see Plotner in E11.

A sea turtle cannot retract its limbs, head, or neck under its shell like a land turtle can. The shell adaptations that would be necessary would impede rapid swimming.
